Campus Community Book Project Workshop: The Far Right Collection

In preparation for Cynthia Miller-Idriss’ visit to UC Davis to discuss her book Hate in the Homeland: the New Global Far Right, the library’s Archives and Special Collections is offering a hands-on session featuring controversial materials from the Far Right Collection. Participants will learn about how and why the library developed the collection, experience how the materials are used in instruction, and have the opportunity to examine materials firsthand. Open to all. A second session may be offered on January 31.

Creative Writing Series: Lydia Conklin — Reading and Q&A

Join us for a reading and Q&A with author Lydia Conklin.
Conklin has received numerous grants, prizes and fellowships for their fiction. They have drawn cartoons for The New Yorker and Narrative Magazine, and graphic fiction for The Believer, Lenny Letter, and the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago. Their story collection, Rainbow Rainbow, was longlisted for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Award and The Story Prize. Their novel, Songs of No Provenance, is forthcoming in 2025.
This event is free and open to all.
