New Exhibit on Mental Health for Healthcare Providers: Improving Resiliency & Avoiding Burnout

This year, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Blaisdell Medical Library will host a mini physical exhibit to offer current and future healthcare workers resources they need to embrace resiliency and reduce burnout throughout their careers.

Mental Health is just as important as physical health for maintaining a well-balanced lifestyle. This is especially true for those in care-taking roles. Nurse, doctors, and other healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to helping others. Unfortunately, and due to a variety of factors, people in these positions often experience high levels of burnout, depression, and suicide. Fortunately however, these issues can be avoided with the right tools and support.

The library has curated a collection of books, e-books, articles, and other resources to help students, residents, faculty, and staff understand the risks of burnout and how they can become resilient caregivers. The exhibit also includes a list of resources for those struggling with their mental health. We invite you to view the exhibit in the Blaisdell Medical Library, or check out our online exhibit page for more information.
